A personal island guide
Cyprus, from someone
who lives it.
I'm Ahmet. These are the beaches, villages, harbours and meze tables I actually return to — with honest tips and exact pins.
Why Cyprus
An island worth slowing down for
Cyprus sits at the eastern edge of the Mediterranean — Greek and Turkish at once, close enough to feel the Levant, and stubbornly its own thing. You can swim in April, pick oranges in December, and stand in a 9,000-year-old settlement before lunch. Distances are short: painted mountain churches, Roman mosaics and the clearest water in the Med are rarely more than an hour apart. What I love most is the pace — coffee is never rushed, lunch has no fixed end, and every village square doubles as a living room. This site is my running list of the places that make it feel that way.
